UNIT: Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 3
LOCATION: I-80 westbound near Route 47 exit (milepost 113), Morris, Grundy County
DATE and TIME: August 4, 2025, at approximately 5:16 a.m.
BRIEF SYNOPSIS: Preliminary information indicates the following occurred: ISP Troop 3 responded to the above location for a two-unit crash involving two truck tractor semi-trailers. One semi is jackknifed, and the other semi is on its side blocking all lanes of traffic. Both drivers were transported to area hospital with injuries. I-80 westbound traffic is being diverted off at Brisbin Road. Lane closures are expected to last another 4-5 hours. No further information is available at this time.
