BLOOMINGTON – The Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested 25-year-old Ivan Kuckuk of Madison, Wisconsin for Methamphetamine Trafficking (Class X Felony) after a traffic stop in McLean County.
On April 6, 2026, just before 1 p.m., a Trooper with ISP’s Troop 5 Criminal Patrol Team conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle on eastbound I-74, just outside of Bloomington, IL. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed multiple packages of suspected methamphetamine, weighing approximately 99.7 pounds, with a street value of almost $3.6 million. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Kuckuk, was taken into custody without incident.
ISP presented the case to the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office, who charged Kuckuk with Methamphetamine Trafficking. Kuckuk is being held at the McLean County Jail pending his first court appearance. There is no further information.

The charge is not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
