ILLINOIS STATE POLICE SEEKS THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE WITH HENRY COUNTY HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

EAST MOLINE – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 East Moline Major Crimes is investigating a Henry County homicide stemming from a missing persons report where the victim was later found deceased.
On May 27, 2025, the Kewanee Police Department requested the assistance of ISP special agents with a missing persons investigation. The victim, Catrelle Reed, was reported missing to the Kewanee Police Department.
On May 30, 2025, Reed was found deceased on a property near the intersection of Highway 81 and East 2350th Street just west of Kewanee.
On June 2, 2025, an autopsy revealed Reed’s death was a result of a homicide.
