ILLINOIS STATE POLICE SEEKS PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN PEDESTRIAN DEATH INVESTIGATION IN HENRY COUNTY

EAST MOLINE – The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 2 requests the public’s assistance with the death investigation of a pedestrian found deceased in the roadway.

On October 16, 2025, ISP Troop 2 responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on I-80 westbound, near milepost 18 in Henry County. The individual was discovered deceased and is believed to have been struck by a vehicle. The individual has not been officially identified and the vehicle that struck the person has not been located.

ISP is seeking information from any motorist traveling in the area of I-80 near milepost 18 on October 16, during the approximate times of 12:00 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.

Anyone driving in the area at the time of the crash, anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have dash camera footage of the incident or footage from the location near the time of the crash, are asked to please contact ISP Special Agents at (309) 752-4915 ext. 4937.
