ILLINOIS STATE POLICE LEADS HUMAN TRAFFICKING DEMAND SUPPRESSION OPERATION IN FORSYTH

FORSYTH – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Trafficking Enforcement Group arrested five individuals during a two-day human trafficking demand suppression operation in the Forsyth area of Macon County on August 21 - 22, 2025. The operation focused on identifying individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts.
As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested and charged:
- Thad E. Olson (58) of Bloomington, IL – Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony) and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony).
- Robert W. Danbury (34) of Decatur, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony).
- David R. Martin (69) of Bethany, IA – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).
- Benito Rojas-Martinez (54) of Urbana, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).
- Luke V. Nguyen (54) of Peoria, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).
This operation was part of a multifaceted approach by ISP aimed at stopping human trafficking in Illinois. The Illinois Trafficking Enforcement Group, East Central Illinois Drug Task Force, North Central Narcotics Task Force, Task Force 6, Vermilion Metropolitan Enforcement Group, ISP Zone 4 Special Agents, ISP SWAT, ISP Intelligence Support Unit, and the ISP Division of Patrol - Special Operations Group-Central partnered for the operation. The Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office also provided support for the operation.
Human trafficking is the use of force, fraud, or coercion to compel a person into commercial sex acts, labor, or services against their will. ISP continues its multifaceted approach toward protecting those most vulnerable with its ongoing statewide human trafficking enforcement operations.
