ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS WOODRIDGE MAN FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS

WOODRIDGE– Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 West special agents arrested 29-year-old Bryan J. Odwyer of Woodridge, IL for one count of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony).

 

On September 10, 2024, ISP initiated an investigation after learning a Odwyer was possibly possessing child sex abuse materials. ​ On January 31, 2025, a search warrant executed on electronics owned by Odwyer revealed child sex abuse material. ​ Odwyer was taken into custody on February 19, 2025, and transported to the DuPage County Jail for a detention hearing. There is no additional information.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
