ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS QUINCY MEN FOR POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS

QUINCY – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation West Central Illinois Task Force (WCITF) Special Agents arrested 25-year-old Jaret T Shear and 21-year-old Israel N. L. Gordon both of Quincy, IL following an extensive narcotics investigation. Shear was charged with Cannabis Delivery More Than 5,000 grams (Class X Felony), Cannabis Production 50-200 Plants (Class 2 Felony), Possession of Cocaine (Class 4 Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (Class 1 Felony), and Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms (Class 4 Felony). Gordon was charged with Possession of Cannabis 10 to 30 Grams (Class B Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Use of Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor).
Special Agents executed four search warrants at two residences in the 1500 block of Zellerman Avenue, one residence in the 5300 block of Lyter Road, and a business in the 600 block of Maine Street - The KB Co. During the search at one residence in the 1500 block of Zellerman Avenue, Special Agents took Shear and Gordon into custody.
During the four searches, Special Agents found more than 20 pounds of black-market cannabis, more than 80 grams of cocaine, more than 200 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, firearms ammunition, and a large amount of United States currency. Shear and Gordon were transported to the Adams County Jail where they remain in custody awaiting a pre-trial detention hearing.
The WCITF was assisted by the ISP Troop 6 and the Illinois Department of Revenue.


The charges are not evidence against the defendants, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
