ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS MILAN MAN FOR DISSEMINATION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MILAN – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 Special Agents arrested 56-year-old Dennis Carey of Milan, IL for four counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 2 Felony) and four counts of Production of Child Pornography (Class X Felony).

On February 18, 2026, ISP Special Agents executed a search warrant at Carey’s residence in the 2900 block of 53rd Avenue W in Milan as well as his place of employment as a result of an ongoing investigation and collected electronic evidence. ISP Special Agents also executed an arrest warrant and arrested Carey on the above-mentioned charges.

Carey was transported to the Rock Island County Jail where he remains in custody.

The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office, Moline Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted with the investigation.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
