ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS MAN ON CHARGES OF THREATENING A DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES PROVIDER

CREST HILL – The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 arrested 25-year-old Jacob Baker of Crest Hill, IL for Threatening a Department of Human Services Provider (Class 3 Felony) and Telephone Harassment (Class B misdemeanor).

On May 21, 2025, ISP Special Agents were notified of an alleged threat made to an Illinois Department of Human Services employee. ISP agents conducted a thorough investigation, and on September 4, 2025, ISP Special Agents took Brady into custody without incident.

The Will County State’s Attorney’s charged Baker with the above charges. ​ Baker is being held at the Will County Adult Detention Center. No further information is available.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
