ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS JOLIET MAN FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS

JOLIET – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 West special agents arrested 35-year-old Marty Johnson of Joliet, IL for two counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony).
ISP special agents began an internet crimes against children investigation in the Joliet area and identified the suspect as Johnson. In February of 2025, special agents interviewed Johnson and collected evidence of child sexual abuse materials. After a thorough investigation, ISP presented the case to the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office and the above-mentioned charges were approved. On June 18, 2025, ISP special agents arrested Johnson and transported him to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. There is no additional information.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
