ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS HENRY COUNTY MAN AFTER CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS INVESTIGATION

ATKINSON – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 Special Agents arrested 28-year-old Tyler K. Hartman of Atkinson, IL for one count of Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony).

 

On May 27, 2026, ISP and the Illinois Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a residential search warrant in the 18000 block of North 1700th Avenue in Atkinson, IL related to a child sexual abuse materials investigation which identified Hartman as the suspect. Hartman was arrested and is being held at the Henry County Jail pending his first court appearance.

 

The Geneseo Police Department, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the Kewanee Police Department, and Illinois Attorney General’s Office Forensics assisted with the investigation.

The charge is not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
