ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS CLARENDON HILLS MAN AFTER SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS INVESTIGATION

HINSDALE - The Illinois State Police’s (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 Special Agents arrested 22-year-old Marcos Reyes of Clarendon Hills, IL for Unlawful Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Depicting Victims Under 13 (Class 2 Felony) and Dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Material Depicting Victims Under 13 (Class X Felony).

In November of 2025, ISP Special Agents received an online tip and began an extensive investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse materials in DuPage County. Special Agents identified Reyes as the suspect who resided in the 6700 block of Tudor Lane in Westmont. On January 29, 2026, officers executed a supplemental search warrant at Reyes’ workplace in Hinsdale and collected the electronic device on his person. ​ On April 17, 2026, special agents and analysts with the Attorney General’s Office, presented the case to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office who approved the above-mentioned charges. On April 23, 2026, officers arrested Reyes at his current residence on 58th Street in Clarendon Hills. Reyes is currently being held at the DuPage County Jail pending his first court appearance.

The charge is not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
