ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS CICERO MAN AFTER WOMAN DIES IN I-355 DUI CRASH

ADDISON – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 Special Agents arrested 50-year-old Adolfo Carrillo of Cicero, IL after a serious crash in Addison left multiple people injured and one woman dead.
On May 1, 2026, shortly before 6 p.m., ISP Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-355 northbound at Army Trail Road in Addison. A gray Ford pickup truck was merging onto I-355 and struck a gray Lexus SUV on the passenger side. The driver of the Ford, Adolfo Carrillo, was transported to an area hospital with injuries. The driver and two passengers of the Lexus were transported to an area hospital with injuries. One of the passengers, a 65-year-old woman from Arizona, was later pronounced deceased.
On May 2, 2026, the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office filed one count of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Death (Class 2 Felony). On May 3, 2026, ISP Troopers located Carrillo and took him into custody. Carillo is being held pending his first court appearance. There is no further information.

The charge is not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
