ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS CHICAGO WOMAN FOR ROAD RAGE EXPRESSWAY SHOOTING

CHICAGO – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 Special Agents arrested 30-year-old Dorshae T.N. Harris of Chicago, IL after an alleged road rage expressway shooting left one injured on I-90/94.

On March 8, 2026, ISP Troopers received a report of an expressway shooting that occurred on I-90/94 southbound at 18th Street. An alleged road rage incident occurred, and the driver of the suspect vehicle fired a weapon at the victim’s vehicle. Both vehicles continued southbound before the victim’s vehicle crashed into a light pole off the interstate near 36th Street. That victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. ​ The suspect, Harris, contacted the ISP to report the incident and was subsequently arrested.

On March 10, 2026, ISP Special Agents presented the case to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and Harris was charged with Attempted Murder (Class X Felony) and Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X Felony). ​ She is being held pending her first court appearance. There is no further information.

ISP reminds the public that when it comes to aggressive driving, don’t lose your temper or your life. ​ Road Rage.
