ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS AURORA MAN AFTER SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS INVESTIGATION

AURORA – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 Special Agents arrested 32-year-old Andrew Dunlop III of Aurora, IL for three counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Class 3 Felony).

In June of 2025, ISP Special Agents received an online tip and began an extensive investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse materials in DuPage County. Special Agents identified Dunlop as the suspect. On May 7, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at Dunlop’s residence in the 2000 block of Waters Edge Circle, in Aurora. ​ Special Agents and analysts with the Attorney General’s Office presented the case to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office who approved the above-mentioned charges. On May 28, 2026, officers arrested Dunlop. Dunlop is currently being held at the DuPage County Jail pending his first court appearance.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
