ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ARRESTS AMBOY MAN AFTER CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS INVESTIGATION

AMBOY – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 Special Agents arrested 37-year-old Cameron J. Riley of Amboy, IL for two counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography (Class X Felony) after an extensive child sexual abuse investigation.

In January 2026, ISP Special Agents received a CyberTip regarding the dissemination of child sexual abuse materials in Lee County and initiated an investigation. ISP Special Agents conducted a thorough investigation and identified Riley as the suspect. On May 5, 2026, ISP Special Agents located Riley at his residence in the 200 block of N. Jones Avenue and interviewed Riley. Following the interview of Riley the Lee County State’s Attorney’s Office approved two counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography and Riley was subsequently arrested. He is being held at the Lee County Jail pending his first court appearance.

The charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
