    "body": "<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>PONTIAC</strong> &ndash; Illinois State Police (ISP) conducted a violent crime suppression detail in Iroquois, Kankakee and McLean counties on September 29 through October 3, 2026, focusing its efforts on Troop 5 communities. During a probable cause search, a loaded illegal firearm was recovered. The Trooper also recovered two large bags containing cannabis flower and cannabis products. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and transported to the McLean County Jail. </p><p>On October 1, 2026, a Trooper observed a vehicle commit IVC violations and conducted a traffic stop, during which the odor of raw cannabis was detected. During a probable cause search, the Trooper recovered three bags containing one-pound packages of cannabis flower, various additional cannabis products, cocaine and methamphetamine.
